Honeywell Trade Campaign
This project required a dual-discipline approach, combining both the design of a custom Point of Sale (POS) structure and the development of a high-impact visual branding. The primary aim was to encourage user interaction with the dummy products that were going to be attached to it, demonstrating the compact, discreet form factors of the product as a key Unique Selling Proposition (USP).
Structural Engineering & Prototyping
The brief called for a freestanding countertop display constructed from heavyweight cardboard, engineered to support two physical dummy products and a high-volume DL leaflet dispenser.
I executed an iterative prototyping process to solve the centre-of-gravity challenges posed by the weight of the attached products.
Through several design cycles and physical mock-ups, I engineered a robust, self-supporting prototype that remained stable during customer handling in a retail environment.
Strategic Visual Communication
Once the physical structure was finalised, I developed a visual identity tailored specifically for the professional building and plumbing trade sector.
Referencing the established Honeywell visual language, I applied a high-contrast colour palette and bold typography to ensure maximum "shelf-standout" within busy trade supplier environments.
I incorporated the campaign’s "Tradesperson" hero imagery and to maintain consistency across the broader NPI (New Product Introduction) marketing mix.
I also designed a corresponding DL leaflet that sat within the integrated holder. This collateral served as a deep-dive resource, providing technical specifications for the featured products and an overview of the wider range.
