Updating an established brand

This freelance project enabled me to rebrand and refresh the look and feel of this independent high street jewellers. The business had already been established for many years and had an existing traditional, functional logo.

My brief from the client was to bring their identity up to date and present it as "Friendly, Accessible and personal" and to emphasise the independence of the brand, distinguishing it from high street franchises.

I approached the logo design first playing with the idea of diamond shapes and diagrams that I had seen in the shop. This developed and simplified to just the outline that was a hexagon. I chose a "Brushpen", hand lettered looking font that reflected the styling that the client wanted to reflect. Once the logo was approved, I went on to create further marketing materials for the business.
